Priscillia Chan

Principal of the School

Before founding Mellodate, Priscillia worked for more than 15 years in early childhood music education, have been giving private piano & violin lessons from 2006 onwards.
Along her teaching journey, she always think of new ideas and methods for her students can learn through play and play through learn.
After started Mellodate, she keep herself updated with the students' learning progress, and ensure all the students learn music happily.
Priscillia qualified with a certificate in early childhood and primary music education from the Kodaly Music Education Institute of Australia and is an Associate of the Trinity College of London (ATCL) in Piano Performance. She also graduated with a Bachelor of Accounting degree from Multimedia University (MMU), in Cyberjaya, Malaysia.

Amanda Liew

Piano & Pop Piano Instructor

Amanda Liew Ying San graduated from UCSI University with a Bachelor of Contemporary Music (Hons.), majoring in Contemporary Piano under the tutelage of Mr. Wilson Jong, minoring in Contemporary Voice under Mr. Brandon Wong. After she obtained her Grade 8 on Classical Piano from Trinity College of London, she was interested in popular music and later, she decided to switch over from classical music to contemporary music. Besides that, she was also active in choir. Amanda was a member of UCSI Women's Choir and UCSI Chamber Choir. She attained the following achievements: In 2014, a Silver Medal in Orientale Concentus VII International Choral Festival, Singapore along with UCSI Women's Choir. In 2015, as a member of UCSI Chamber Choir, Gold and Silver Medal in the 4th Bali International Choir Festival and in 2016, Silver Medal in 13th China International Chorus Festival in Beijing. Besides that, she also performed alongside with Malaysia Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO), in Mahler's Symphony No. 2 under the conductor, Benjamin Zandera  and Mozart's Requiem under the baton of Andreas Delf.

David Chai

Drum,Guitar,Pop Piano & Ukelele Instructor

David is a passionate teacher who loves music a lot. He was a Mechanical Engineering graduate, then he continue his career in music teaching industry. He teaches a few instruments, such as Drum, Guitar, Pop Piano, Ukelele, Violin & Viola.
Teacher David has more than 12 years of experience in music teaching. He creates fun and enjoyable environment for students to learn music no matter how old the students are.  Beside, David also has experience in music production and composition. He gives many workshops and seminar on teaching methods on different types of instruments.

Annette Wong

Vocal & Piano Instructor

Annette graduated with two instruments, majoring in vocal & minoring in piano & composition. Teacher Annette has 9 years experience in vocal & piano teaching. She joined the Kuala Lumpur CIty Opera and performed Carmen by Georges Bizet in year 2013. Performed Voices and Winds ( The Coronation Mass by Mozart ) in year 2014. She performed in The Lord of The Rings Symphony 2008 along Young KL Singers in year 2008.
Annette teaches students from as young as 4 years old up to adult for vocal & piano. She is a committed and patient teacher where she ensure all her students achieve the aim given in the lessons. She also ensure the learning environment is fun and enjoyable for students.

Howard Lim

Drum Instructor

Howard is a drum lover since young. He played piano at his younger age, but found that he has more interest on drum. He performed in many public events and give private drum class for young children & adults. He is a very patient and kind teacher, where he ensure all his students get to learn new skills in every lessons and they get to learn in a fun and enjoyable environment.

Gibien Guan

Drum Instructor

Gibien Guan is an accomplished drum instructor who taught and played drums professionally on variety of music genre for more than 8 years. In his teaching journey, he conducted band classes, rhythm workshops in the style of drum circle and etc. He is adept at assisting students to understand the drums and getting them to reach their goals. At twelve years old, Gibien Guan began playing drums at church. At school, he joined the marching band and played the snare and the bass drum. At university, he entered UCSI, wrote and directed a drum opening for the university's Orientation Day. Today he teaches in a way that encourages students to question the things they do and understand why they do.
